Statistics: Russia’s inflation stays at 0.2% in Apr 27–Tuesday
MOSCOW, May 6 (PRIME) -- Russia’s consumer price inflation stayed at 0.2% from April 27 through Monday for a third week in a row, and reached 2.8% since January 1, the Federal State Statistics Service said on Thursday.
The prices for lamb meat increased by 1.3% in the reported week, for pork by 0.6%, for sunflower oil, buckwheat, and margarine by 0.5%, for chicken eggs by 0.4%, and for sugar by 0.1%. At the same time, poultry became 0.1% cheaper.
Fruit and vegetable prices grew by 1.7% on average. The cucumber prices increased 7.6%, cabbage prices rose 4%, potato prices 2.2%, carrot prices 2.4%, onion prices by 1.3%, tomato prices by 0.3%, and apple prices by 0.1%.
Gasoline prices rose by 0.1% and diesel fuel prices remained flat.
